The Samueli Academy is part of an LPA Master Plan for 480 at-risk students and families, which includes an academic downtown and a residential village to house 80 foster care students and their guardian families. This phase consisted of a 3-story 30,000 gsf Academic Building providing 16 Teaching Stations with 2 Learning Commons and a focus on STEM and project-based learning. The project also included a 3,600 SF Community Building with support for offices and after hours uses for the students.
Role: Technical Designer
Production of drawings and details under the guidance of an experienced Project Manager
Assisted in leading the coordination of the work with all disciplines (external consultant: Low Voltage)
Worked closely with the Project Designer to develop, detail and guide the design direction
Provided Contract Administration support during construction under the guidance of an experienced Project Manager
