A new STEM Academy on the existing Eleanor Roosevelt High School campus in Eastvale, CA. 32 new teaching stations provide specialized learning environments to support the district’s Career Technical Education pathways in health-medical and engineering in this 110,000 gsf building. The design focuses on flexible learning spaces, break-out spaces for collaborative learning, and connection between indoor and outdoor spaces creating an environment where learning happens everywhere.
Role: Design Coordinator
Guided the production of drawings and details under the supervision of an experienced Project Director
Managed the coordination of the work with all disciplines (external consultant: Food Service & Fire Sprinklers)
Organized, managed and ran weekly coordination meetings with all disciplines
Worked closely with the Project Designer to develop, detail and guide the design direction
Worked closely with the Project Director to address management, staffing and budget concerns
Provided direction and mentorship to junior team members to guide the development of the contract documents
Provided Contract Administration support during construction under the guidance of an experienced Project Director
